Will Dickson Set for G-Pro Tour Championship
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson is set to compete in the G-Pro Tour Championship this week at Albemarle Plantation in North Carolina.
Dickson won the Tour Championship last year, but this year is a different format.
“This year the G-Pro Tour had a full calendar year schedule, making the Tour Championship in December, not June like last year,” Dickson tells GolfNewsRI.

He continues, “This year the Tour Championship goes into match play after one round of stroke play. That will be fun and a nice change of pace.”
The tournament begins on Tuesday, December 5 and runs through December 7.
Dickson’s Season
After recording several wins in 2022, Dickson’s 2023 season has been a grind.
“’I’ve felt like I’ve been searching for something all year long. I was close a couple of times, but never really was able to put together a full tournament of good play,” said the former Moses Brown star.
Dickson had a few good finishes, but no victories. He Monday Q’d for one Korn Ferry Tour event, but did not make the cut.
Heading into PGA Tour Q-School, Dickson did not get out of the first stage.
“I didn’t accomplish my main goal of earning my Korn Ferry Tour card, but a chance here to get a win and get some momentum going into 2024,” Dickson said,.
As he reminds GolfNewsRI, positives can be found.
“The G-Pro Tour Championship is the 30 best guys on this Tour, so to be playing here means you did some good during the season, not all bad stuff. It’s always nice to be playing in something that you earned your way into.”
Dickson tees off at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday on the tenth hole.
