Vinny Papa Set for Notah Begay III Girls National Championship
Rhode Island’s Vinny Papa is set to compete in the Notah Begay III Girls National Championship this week at Koasati Pines at Coushatta.
This is the second straight year in which Papa has advanced to the National Championship.
Papa will be competing in the Girls 14-15 division and will tee off at 7:27 a.m. local time on Thursday.
She is paired with Hawaii’s Ava Cepeda and Canada’s Bridget Yu.
The tournament is three rounds of stroke play to determine a winner.
Papa is the only girl from Rhode Island in the tournament.
There are five different age groups for the girls championship.
