RI Women’s Players of the Year Race Finalized

The race for the Rhode Island Women’s Players of the Year (gross, net) has been finalized. 

Green Valley’s Cindy Silvia is the Rhode Island Women’s Player of the Year, edging out Olivia Williams by nine points. 

Siliva finished with 409 points, playing in nine events and winning three, while Williams ended the year with 400 points playing in and winning the RI Women’s Amateur. 

Silvia’s wins include the Shamble at Rhode Island Country Club and Best Ball Tournaments at Agawam Hunt and Shelter Harbor. 

She also won her flight in the Women’s Four-Ball Championship and recorded a second place finish at the Junior/Senior at Valley.

Net Player of Year 

Kirkbrae’s Lisa Corrigan won the Net Player of the Year award after her victory in the Net Amateur Championship on her home course.

Corrigan beat out fellow Kirkbrae member Denise Musket and Foster’s Jeanine Vachon by 54 points. 

Kirkbrae had four players in the top six of the net standings.
