Two weeks, two tournaments and two wins for URI star Bryson Richards.
Richards captured individual honors at the Nassau Intercollegiate at Nassau Country Club this week with a three round score of three-under par (207).
“Magnificent golf course. The betting term “Nassau” comes from this course. The head pro said no one would shoot under par here and Bryson did,” said URI Head Coach Gregg Burke to GolfNewsRI.
Richards was the only player in the entire tournament to shoot under par.
This is his second straight win after winning the Sacred Heart Fall Classic last week.
Rhody Finishes 2nd
For the Rams, they finished in second place as a team for the second straight week.
URI finished with a team score of 26-over par, five shots back of tournament winner Long Island University.
Besides Richards, the Rams were led by freshman Josiah Tong who finished in solo sixth place at six-over par.
Geronimo Narizzano and freshman Tony Liu each finished in a tie for 11th at 12-over par.
Liu is the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week.
Aidan O’Donovan finished 27th at 17-over par.
