O’Leary Misses Stage 2 Cut at PGA Tour Q-School

Andrew O’Leary has missed the Stage 2 cut at PGA Tour Q-School this week in Oklahoma.

O’Leary finished the tournament at one-over par and the cut is going to be two-under.

The former RI Amateur champ entered the final round one shot off the lead, but carded a two-over 72 on Friday to miss out.

As far as what is next for O’Leary, there are options available.

He can go the mini-tour route like Will Dickson with the ability to play in the Korn Ferry Tour Monday Q’s on a weekly basis.

O’Leary can also look to PGA Tour Canada like former URI star Chris Francoeur did and work on his game there.

Back in July, O’Leary Monday qualified for a PGA Tour Canada event, the Osprey Valley Open.

While still in college, he played in PGA Tour Canada Q school back in March.

O’Leary’s Final Round

Starting the day one shot off the cut, O’Leary opened with a bogey on the first, but a bounce back birdie on the second hole.

A birdie on the fourth hole put him inside the cut line, and another bogey-birdie on the next two holes kept him there.

O’Leary made another bogey on the par-3 seventh hole put him at even par for the tournament.

The cut temporarily moved to even par, so O’Leary was inside it through nine holes.

On the back side, O’Leary made a double-bogey on the par-4 11th hole to set him back of the cut line.

He got one shot back with a birdie on 12, but made a bogey on 15, a birdie on 16 and a bogey on 18 to card a 72.

It was his third 72 in four rounds.
