URI Finishes 8th at UConn Invitational
The University of Rhode Island Golf team finished in a tie for 8th place at the UConn Invitational this week at GreatHorse.
The Rams finished 34-over par as a team to finished tied with Holy Cross.
UConn won the tournament at four-over par.
Leading Rhody
With Bryson Richards still out due to injury, the Rams were led by sophomore Aidan O’Donovan.
O’Donovan finished in a tie for 12th at four-over par for the tournament.
He posted rounds of 76 and a pair of 72s.
Freshmen Josiah Tong and Tony Liu finished in 28th and 34th respectively with 9-over and 10-over tournaments.
Next Up for Rhody
The Rams return to action on October 15 at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic.
Only two tournaments remain of the fall season.
Harry Dessel
Rhode Island stroke Play champion Harry Dessel finished in a tie for 73rd overall.
He was 27-over par for the tournament.
Lafayette finished in last place at 68-over par.
