St. Rays’ Star Nick Emery Commits to Saint Anselm
St. Rays golf star Nick Emery announced that he has verbally committed to Saint Anselm to play golf next fall.
Emery made the announcement on social media on Wednesday.
“I am incredibly blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Saint Anselm College. I would like to thank all of my family especially my Mother and Father for their support, with traveling and rides over the years,” Emery writes.

He adds, “Someone I cannot thank enough is Ms. Pavia our St Raphael Academy AD for her help with golf, and the team over my 4 years.. I wouldn’t be here without her. Next, I would like to thank every single coach I’ve had over the years including all my current coach’s at KOHR Academy. Most importantly, I would like to thank Coach Bishop for this amazing opportunity. I am looking forward to the next 4 years.”
As GolfNewsRI detailed back in 2022, Emery was major part of St. Rays bringing back a golf team.
This past summer, Emery qualified for the Mass Junior Amateur, and also played Challenge Cup events such as the World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs and the Challenge Cup Championship .
About Saint Anselm
The Hawks play in NCAA Division II and are part of the NE10 conference.
The men’s golf team is coached by Shaun Bishop.
This year’s roster consists of two fifth-year seniors and two regular seniors.
There are also four sophomores, one freshman and one junior.
The Hawks best finish so far in the fall season is sixth at the FPU Fall Invite.
