Bryant, URI Finish 9th & 11th at Yale’s Macdonald Cup
The Bryant and URI golf teams finished in 9th and 11th place this weekend at Yale’s Macdonald Cup at the Yale Golf Course.
Bryant finished at 56-over par for the week to take solo ninth, while Rhode Island finished at 62-over par to take 11th.
The Bulldogs were led by Aidan Azevedo who finished in a tie for fifth at five-over for the weekend, while Cael Kohan finished in a tie for 24th.
The Rams were led by Aidan O’Donovan, who finished in a tie of 19th at 11-over par.
Freshman Tony Liu finished 21st.
“It is shocking for me to say this, but we lack toughness. Discipline and toughness have been both trademarks and weapons for us. We knew playing without Bryson would likely take us out of a run for the championship, but we also knew it was a chance for people to step up,” said Head Coach Gregg Burke.
Yale won the tournament at 16-over par.
