Patrick Welch Earns Korn Ferry Tour Card for 2024 Season
Classical High School grad Patrick Welch has earned his Korn Ferry Tour Card for the 2024 season.
Welch snuck inside the top 75 on the KFT points list after a T24 finish at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship on Sunday afternoon.
He finished 74th on the points list and now will compete in Korn Ferry Tour Championship in a couple of weeks.
Welch finished one-over for the tournament after a final round 71.
Welch’s Final Round
Similar to Davis Chatfield, Welch opened the round with nine straight pars to turn at even par.
The back side was a little more interesting.
Welch bogeyed the 11th, but then made eagle on the 12th to get to one-under for the day.
After a par on 13, Welch bogeyed the 14th and made another bogey on the par-3 17th after putting his tee shot in the bunker.
He chipped it to within five feet for par, but missed the putt.
On 18, Welch gave himself a birdie look from about 10 feet, but it just missed.
Welch carded a 72 and is locked in for next season after the projections fell his way.
