Chatfield Finishes 11th at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship
Former Rhode Island Amateur champ Davis Chatfield finished in a tie for 11th at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship on Sunday at Ohio State University’s Golf Course.
Chatfield finished two-under for the tournament to tie for 11th with a slew of other players.
He entered the final round just three shots off the lead, but a birdie and two bogeys set him back.
The former Notre Dame star is projected to move to 62nd on the KFT points list heading into the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in a few weeks.
He has also locked up full Korn Ferry Tour status for next season.
Norman Xiong won the tournament at 10-under par.
Chatfield’s 4th Round
Looking to make a run at the leader, Chatfield could not get anything to drop on the green.
He made nine straight pars on the front side to turn at even par.
On the back side, Chatfield birdied the 12th hole, but then made back-to-back bogeys on 13 and 14 to move to one-over.
He parred in the rest of the way to shoot 72.
In the fourth round, Chatfield hit 11 of 18 greens in regulation and averaged two putts per green.
