Triggs Member-Member Results
Triggs Memorial Golf Course hosted the inaugural member-member best ball two-day tournament this weekend.
The tournament was a change from the traditional four-ball, with the two-man teams recording their best 18 holes from the two rounds.
There was a tie for the low gross between the team of Dave Sorafine and Peter Brown and Shawn Souza and Matt Espanola.
Both teams came in with 9-under 63s.
Sorafine, who eagled the par-5 15th hole and Brown were declared the gross champions while Souza and Espanola and the team of Mike Economos and Joe Park tied for low net honors with a total of 55 each.
Second low gross went to the team of Ken Ferrara and Peter McBride, who recorded a 7-under 65.
There was a three-way tie for third low net; Dan Chaika-Richard Maggiacomo, Jourdan Ribeiro-Nick Ferraro and Peter Gay-Del Malloy, who all came home in 56.
Tyler Martin and Juan Catala took sixth low net (57) and Jack O’Brien and John McIntyre captured 7th net with a total of 58.
Closest to the pin winners for Sunday: Kevin Lanouette (#4), Tom Cabana (#7), Peter Brown (#12) and Jim Wardick (#14).
