URI Finishes 8th at Temple Invitational

The University of Rhode Island Golf team finished in eighth place this week at the Temple Invitational on Sunday.
The Rams finished with a team score of 592 to finish a few shots ahead of Saint Joseph’s and Mount St. Mary’s.
Rhody was led by Bryson Richards who finished in a tie for 13th overall.
Sophomore Aidan O’Donovan led the Rams on Sunday with a three-over 73, while freshman Tony Liu had a good showing for his first collegiate tournament.

“As young as we are, we knew there would be some bumps. Aidan played some solid golf for long stretches, and Tony showed just how great a player he will be as he learns how to play on northern grasses,” said head coach Gregg Burke.
Senior Geronimo Narizzano shot a 76 on the second day despite dealing with a pair of double bogeys.
Drexel won the event with a team score of 566.
