Welch Falls 30 Spots on Leaderboard, Chatfield Misses Cut
The second day of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Open was a rough one for Patrick Welch and Davis Chatfield.
For Welch, he entered the second round with a share of the lead, however, a one-over 73 dropped him 30 spots on the leaderboard.
The Classical High School grad is five-under for the tournament.
Chatfield carded an incredible second round 67 to finish at two-under for the tournament, but missed the cut by one shot.
The lead is currently 10-under.
Heading into the weekend, Welch is projected to go from 75th on the points list to 76th.
Chatfield is projected to go from 64th to 68th on the points list.
The top 75 after next week’s tournament earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour for next season.
