Francoeur Closes Debut PGA Tour Canada Season Strong

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur finished his debut season on PGA Tour Canada strong.
Francoeur carded a final round 65 at the Fortinet Cup Championship to finish in a tie for 14th overall.
He finished 11-under for the tournament.
The T14 is one of Francoeur’s best finishes on Tour this season.
Francoeur finished 42nd in the Fortinet Cup overall and has locked up status for next season.

After a par on the first hole, Francoeur birdied the second and third holes to get to two under par on the round.
Following two more pars, Francoeur birdied six, seven and nine to turn at five-under for the day.
On the back side, Francoeur bogeyed the 11th hole, but then eagled the 13th hole to move to six-under on the day.
Another birdie on 15 got him to seven-under and inside the top ten for the tournament.
However, a closing bogey on 17 dropped him back to six-under and into a tie for 14th.
