Davis Chatfield Listed as Player to Watch on KFT This Week
The Korn Ferry Tour returns this weekend with the second leg of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals – The Simmons Bank Open.
Former Rhode Island Amateur champ Davis Chatfield finished inside the top ten at the previous tournament a couple of weeks ago.
This week, Chatfield has been listed by the Korn Ferry Tour as one of the ten players to watch.
“The Notre Dame alum has proven his mettle a rookie, making 16 cuts in 22 starts, and he broke through for his first top-10 at the recent Albertsons Boise Open – including a third-round pairing with his childhood hero Camilo Villegas. He stands No. 64 on the Points List, looking to cement his Korn Ferry Tour status and perhaps more,” writes Kevin Price of the KFT.
The top 75 players (on points list) after next week’s tournament lock up full Korn Ferry Tour status for next season.
The top 30 after the Korn Ferry Tour Championship go to the PGA Tour.
Patrick Welch is 75th on the points list and will need a good run over the next two weeks to lock up stats.
