3-Way Tie Atop Leaderboard After Day 1 of RI Senior Amateur
The first round of the Rhode Island Senior Amateur at Pawtucket Country Club is in the books and there is a three-way tie atop the leaderboard.
Pawtucket’s Brian O’Leary, Ledgemont’s Derek Johnson and Segregansett’s Bruce Barboza all fired one-under par 68s to lead the tournament with 18 holes left.
However, there is a slew of players right behind them within just a few shots with 18 holes to go.
Carter Fascia is even par for the tournament and in fourth place, while there are five players tied at one-over and in fifth.
Those players include Rob Grossguth, John Auclair, Darren Corrente and Todd Hagenburg.
The final round of the tournament takes place on Tuesday morning.
