Chris Francoeur Begins 3 Week Run for PGA Tour Canada’s Fortinet Cup

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur is set to tee it up in the first leg of PGA Tour Canada’s race to the Fortinet Cup at the CentrePort Canada Rail Park Manitoba Open. 

Francoeur is currently tied for 38th on the points list with 177.

The winner of the Fortinet Cup will receive a $25K bonus and full status on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024. 

The second through fifth place finishers will earn conditional Korn Ferry status and will be exempt into the final stage of PGA Tour Q-School. 

Francoeur tees off at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. 

In his first season as a pro in Canada, Francoeur has played in seven events, made six of the seven cuts and has one top five finish. 

According to his profile, he has earned just over $12K.
