Davis Chatfield fired a bogey-free five-under 66 and sits in a tie for sixth place after the first round of the Pinnacle Bank Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The tournament is being played at The Club at Indian Creek in Nebraska.
With three rounds to go, Chatfield is three shots back of leader Alejandro Tosti, who is eight under.

The back side, was pretty clinical for Chatfield.

Starting on the back side, Welch opened with a bogey on the tenth hole, but got it back with a birdie on the 12th hole.
After four straight pars, Welch birdied the 17th hole to turn at one-under.
Turning to the front side, Welch birdied the fourth hole and dropped another on the par-5 seventh hole to finish at three-under for the day.
