Super Tuesday: RI Women’s Am, RI Open & Northern Junior

A couple of weeks ago we had a “Big Tuesday,” and it certainly was.

This Tuesday, we are calling it a Super Tuesday with three major events going on involving Rhode Islanders.

RI Women’s Am

The biggest event starting on Tuesday is the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur at Kirkbrae Country Club.

Tee times begin for the stroke play qualifying round at 9:30 a.m. and end around noon (including net and senior divisions).

Kylie Eaton enters the tournament as the defending champion and gets to defend the title on her home course where she had won four-straight club championships prior to this year.

She will face big challenges from her sister Adriana, last year’s runner up Morgan MacLeod and Olivia Williams.

Williams just beat Eaton in the RI Junior Amateur Championship last week.

A player to watch out for is Lilly Dessel, who has the ability to make some noise in the tournament.

Match play begins on Wednesday with the championship set for Saturday.
