Adriana Eaton Wins Medalist Honors at RI Women’s Amateur

Playing on her home course, Adriana Eaton captured medalist honors at the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur on Tuesday at Kirkbrae Country Club.
Eaton carded a five-over 77 to take honors by two shots over Wanumetonomy’s Emily Brooks.
She gets a first round bye.

Defending champion Kylie Eaton finished in a tie for third with Olivia Williams at nine-over par.
Last year’s runner-up Morgan Macleod finished 12th.
Match play begins on Wednesday morning.

Eaton didn’t get off to a great start, making a double-bogey on the first hole.
She then bogeyed the third and fifth holes, before going on a birdie run.
Eaton made birdie on the par-5 sixth hole, and then dropped another one on the ninth hole to turn at two-over.
On ten, Eaton made another birdie to get to one-over.
After saving par on the next two holes, she bogeyed the tough 13th hole, and then doubled the 16th hole.
Eaton closed with a bogey on 18 to finish five-over for the day.
