Andrew O’Leary Monday Qualifies for PGA Tour Canada Event
Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Andrew O’Leary Monday qualified for the Osprey Valley Open on PGA Tour Canada this week.
O’Leary fired a six-under 66 at Nobleton Lakes GC to be one of eight qualifiers.
The tournament begins on Thursday.
O’Leary’s Round
O’Leary didn’t get off to a great start in the round.
He opened with two bogeys in the first five holes to go to two-over.
O’Leary bounced back with birdies on the seventh and eighth holes to turn at even par, which was huge for him.
Making the turn at over par would have been tough to recover from.
O’Leary then lit up the back side.
He birdied the first three holes to get to three-under and get into contention.
After a par on 13, O’Leary birdied the 14th, and then birdied the 16th and 17th to get to six-under for the round.
He closed with a par on 18.
