Welch Beats Chatfield by 1 Shot at KFT’s Ascendant Tournament
In a battle of the locals, Patrick Welch beat Davis Chatfield by one shot at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Ascendant Championship on Sunday at TPC Colorado.
Welch carded a four-round score of three-under to finish in a tie for 43rd, while Chatfield was two-under for the tournament and finished in a tie for 50th.
Chatfield had rounds of 68, 75, 72 and 71, while Welch had rounds of 69, 70, 73, 73.
Welch moves from 144th on the KFT points list to 136th.
Chatfield jumps Fromm 59th to 56th.
The top 30 on the points list get their PGA Tour cards at the end of the season.
Nicholas Lindheim won the tournament at 20-under par.
