Bobby Leopold Takes Medalist Honors at RI Amateur

Three-time champion Bobby Leopold took medalist honors at the Rhode Island Amateur and will be the number one seed heading into match play on Wednesday.

Following a first round 65 (6-under), Leopold followed up with a second round 68 (3-under) to win the medalist honors by several shots.

“I just wanted to see the ball go in, make some birdies. When I compare the three bogeys verse the birdies I make, I would rather make ten birdies than ten birdies, so I’m pretty happy with it,” said Leopold after his round.
