Green Valley Builds Practice Range for Portsmouth HS Golf Team

Green Valley Country Club (GVCC) in Portsmouth has completed work on a practice tee exclusively for the Portsmouth High School Golf Team.
This comes at a time when the golf boom is still in full swing, and some clubs around the state, region, and even the country, have struggled to find room for junior golfers and their respective high school teams.

“The finished product looks great. It’s the perfect size and will provide years of enjoyment for the Portsmouth High School golf team. Note that this is not a practice tee for members or any other personnel,” writes golf course superintendent Joe Oliveira.
The tee, and all components of it, was donated to the team by Reed Custom Soils/ Garrett Whitney, Sodco/ Jim Studley/ Pat Hogan, and GVCC.
“The relationship between GVCC and Portsmouth High School goes back many years, well over 40 years I believe,” adds Oliveira.
Green Valley is located at 371 Union Street in Portsmouth.
It is an 18-hole golf course with a restaurant and banquet facility.
