St. Rays’ star Nick Emery has qualified for the Massachusetts Junior Amateur.

Overall, nine players made the cut with Colin Gleason winning medalist honors at three-under par.
Emery was the only player from Rhode Island in the field.
Emery’s Round
Following an opening par, Emery bogeyed the second hole, but got it back with a birdie on the fifth hole.
He closed the front nine with a triple-bogey eight to turn at three-over 39.
On the back side, Emery bogeyed the tenth hole and the 14th hole to move to five-over and outside of the cut.
However, he was clutch down the stretch.
After a par on 15, Emery drilled back-to-back birdie putts on 16 and 17 to get to three-over and inside the cut.
He parred 18 to secure the tournament and advance to the Junior Am.
