Francoeur Makes PGA Tour Canada Cut on Number

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur is playing the weekend on PGA Tour Canada. 

Francoeur finished the first two rounds at two-under par for the tournament to make the cut right on the number. 

“Onto the weekend, 68-70 start to make the cut on the number. Need the wand to heat up,” Francoeur posted on social media. 

There is a three-way tie for the lead at 10-under par, including American John Pak.

Francoeur’s Round

Following a first round 68, Francoeur opened the second round with a double bogey on the second hole to immediately go to two-over on the day. 

He would get one of those strokes back with a birdie on the fifth hole to turn at one-over 35. 

Making the turn, Francoeur birdied the tenth, but bogeyed the 11th. 

The former Rhody Ram the birdied the 14th, before bogeying the 15 to give it back. 

Following a par on 16, Francoeur would birdie 17 to finish at even par for the day.
