Brad Adamonis Qualifies for PGA Champions Tour Event

Rhode Island’s Brad Adamonis will return to the Champions Tour this weekend after taking co-medalist honors in the qualifier on Tuesday.
Adamonis carded a five-under 67 at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in New York to get through to the Dicks Sporting Good Open.

He tied for medalist honors with Alan McLean and beat Tim Ailes by one shot.
Four-under par was the cut.
Adamonis’ Round
Adamonis opened with four straight pars, before dropping a birdie on the fifth hole.
He gave that back, and then some, with a double-bogey on the par-3 sixth hole to go to over par for the tournament.
However, Adamonis then went on a tear.
Adamonis birdied the seventh hole, then made another birdie on the ninth hole to turn at one-under par.
On the back side, he made birdies on the 11th and 12th holes, then two more on the 14th and 15th holes to get to five-under.
Adamonis made three pars on the final three holes to close out the round.
