Welch Finishes Inside Top 15, Chatfield Takes 30th
Patrick Welch snagged a top 15 finish at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open on Sunday afternoon at Crestview Country Club.
Welch finished 16-under for the week after a final round 66 to finish in a tie for 12th overall.

Meanwhile, Davis Chatfield finished at 14-under for the tournament and in a tie for 30th overall.
He is projected to go from 83rd on the KFT Points List to 79th.
Ricky Castillo won the tournament in a three-way playoff.
Welch’s Final Round
Welch opened his final round by birding four of the first six holes to get to four-under on the day and climb the leaderboard.
He would give one back with a bogey on seven to turn at three-under par.
On the back side, Welch birdies the tenth and 12th holes to get the score to five-under for the round.
However a double-bogey on the 13th set him backwards two shot.
Welch would bounce back with birdies on the 14th and 16th holes, but a closing bogey left him a four-under for the day and a final round 66.
Chatfield’s Final Round
Chatfield kept a clean card in his final round.
He opened with a birdie on the second hole, and then made a string of pars to stay at one-under until he dropped another birdie on the eighth hole.
The former RI Amateur champ would turn at two-under 33.
On the back side, Chatfield added birdies on the tenth hole and another on the 14th hole to shoot 66.
