Francoeur Fires a 63 in PGA Tour Canada Debut

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur fired a first round 63 (7-under) in his PGA Tour Canada debut at Royal Beach Victory Open in Canada. 

Francoeur made seven birdies against no bogeys to shoot the seven-under round.

He is one shot off the lead of George Kneiser, who is eight under.

Francoeur opened his debut round with six straight pars before birding two of the last three holes to turn at two-under 33. 

On the back side, Francoeur went on a tear. 

He birdied ten, 11 and 12, and then made three straight pars to stay at five under. 

Francoeur birdied 16 and 17 and saved par on 18 to shoot 63. 

For those scoring at home, Francoeur carded a 30 on the back nine.
