Two Eagles Propel Welch to 1st Round 66 in Korn Ferry Tour Debut

Patrick Welch’s pro debut could not have gotten off to a better start on Thursday morning at the Korn Ferry Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am.

Welch made two eagles in route to an opening round 66, good enough to put him inside the top 20 after the first Round.

Welch’s Round

Starting on the first hole, Welch saved par, then birdied the second hole to get to one-under.

Following a par on three, Welch birdied the fourth hole and then made his first eagle of the day on the par-5 fifth hole to get to four-under overall.

Welch parred out the rest of the front side to stay at that number.

Making the turn, Welch birdied the tenth hole, but then made bogeys on 12 and 15 to drop to three-under for the day.

That was until he made his second eagle of the day on the par-5 16th hole to get back to the five-under number.

He made par on the final two holes to shoot 66.
