2023 Northeast Am Field Features 4 Rhode Islanders

The field for the 2023 Northeast Amateur was released at a media event on Tuesday morning at Wannamoisett Country Club.
The field features four Rhode Islanders including Tyler Cooke, Bobby Leopold, Mike Hamilton and Kevin Blaser.
Hamilton and Blaser get in due to their wins in the RI Stroke Play and RI Amateur tournaments respectively, while Leopold and Cooke earn special exemptions as Wannamoisett members and Leopold as one of the top mid-amateurs in the region.

In past years, there has been eight and nine players from Rhode Island or at least with RI ties, but the number is diminished with the likes of Davis Chatfield, Chris Francoeur and Patrick Welch all turning pro.
The Northeast Amateur will be held from June 21 to June 24 at Wannamosistt.
Other Notable Players
Two-time defending champion Dylan Menante is back in the field this season going for a three-peat.
Superstar mid-am Stewart Hagestad and defending Mass Amateur champ Connor Willett are also in the field, along with Matt Parziale and Preston Summerhays.
