Brad Adamonis Eagles 18th Hole to Monday Qualify for Champions Tour Event

Rhode Island’s Brad Adamonis eagled the 18th hole to Monday Qualify for the PGA Champion’s Tour’s Principal Charity Classic earlier this week.

Since Monday was Memorial Day, the qualifier was played on Tuesday in Iowa at Veeneker Memorial Golf Course.

Adamonis finished at four-under to get in right on the cut line with Texas’ Jason Schultz, who was also four-under.

Iowa’s Judd Gibb took medalist honors at six-under.

The tournament begins on Friday.

Adamonis’ Round

Starting on the front side, Adamonis opened with bogeys on the second and sixth holes to fall to two over.

He bounced back with birdies on seven and eight to turn at even par and give himself a chance on the back.

On the back side, Adamonis got off to a fast start with a birdie on ten, and another birdie on 13 to get to two-under for the day.

However, he likely needed at least two more birdies coming in.

Adamonis made pars on holes 14-17, meaning he needed an eagle on 18.

And that is exactly what he got, an eagle on 18 to get through to the Champions Tour Tournament.
