RI Golf Courses Left Off Top 100 List

No Rhode Island Golf courses made the list of Top 100 Courses in America that was recently published by Golf Digest.
Not even Newport Country Club, which seemingly makes every list, did not make this one.

“Golf Digest has published America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses since 1966, making it the oldest and most respected ranking in the game. We are proud to say this year’s edition is the most scientific ever—with our 1,800 panelists submitting more than 85,000 evaluations over our 10-year scoring criteria. Our experts play and evaluate candidate courses on six criteria, each on a scale of 1 to 10: Shot Options, Challenge, Layout Variety, Aesthetics, Conditioning and Character,” writes Golf Digest about the rankings.
While no Rhode Island courses made the list, there are multiple Massachusetts courses.
The Country Club at Brookline ranks 19th, Myopia Hunt is ranked 50th, Old Sandwich Golf Club ranks 63rd, and the Kittansett Club is ranked 89th.
Boston Golf Club comes in at 90th.
Pine Valley in New Jersey is rated as the top course in America.
