Conference Championships are Underway – Schedule, Scoring Links HERE

College golf conference championship are underway across the country this weekend and there are Rhode Islanders all over the place. 

From Allison Paik to Addy Douglas and Alexis Florio on the girls side to Andrew O’Leary and Patrick Welch on the boys side, locals are getting set to try and lead their teams to championships and an NCAA berth. 

At home, the University of Rhode Island and Bryant University are both gearing up for a postseason runs.

Atlantic 10 Championship

URI Begins the A-10 Championship on April 28 down in Florida.

Ivy League Women’s Championship 

Allison Paik is set to lead Columbia in the Ivy League Women’s Championship that gets underway on Friday (April 21) at Century Country Club in New York.

MAAC Women’s Championship 

Addy Douglas and Fairfield will look to make noise in the MAAC Championship this weekend down in sunny Florida at Disney’s Palm Golf Course.

Southland Conference Championship

The Bryant Bulldogs begin the Southland Conference Championship on April 24.

ACC Men’s Championship 

Down to his final days/weeks of college golf, former RI Amateur champ Andrew O’Leary and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are already in the thick of things at the ACC Championship in North Carolina. 

The tournament is just a two day event starting on Friday and ending on Saturday. 

According to Brentley Romine, the Irish need to finish solo third or better to get in the NCAA Tournament.

NEC Championship

Morgan MacLeod and Merrimack take on the NEC Championship starting on Sunday at LPGA International down in Florida.

MacLeod will look to build on one of her best finishes of the season.

Big Ten Women’s Championship 

Alexis Florio and the Indiana Hoosiers kicked off the Big Ten Championship Friday morning in Pittsburgh at Fox Chapel Golf Club.

Big 12 Championship

Patrick Welch and the Oklahoma Sooners begin the Big 12 Championship on Monday.

The Sooners are pretty much a lock to make it to the NCAA Tournament, pretty much no matter what happens, but an extra trophy never hurt anyone.

Patriot League Championship

Harry Dessel and Lafayette begin the Patriot League Championship on April 28 down in Maryland.
