Tiger Woods Undergoes Ankle Surgery

Tiger Woods has undergone another surgery, this time on his ankle, and is out indefinitely, Woods announced on social media Wednesday morning.
“Earlier today, Tiger underwent a subtler fusion procedure to address his post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture. It was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley at HSS Sports Medicine Institute in New York City. He has determined the surgery to be successful. Tiger is currently recovering and looks forward to beginning his rehabilitation,” the statement reads.
Woods is likely out of next month’s PGA Championship, according to Sports Ilustrated’s Bob Harig.
We last saw Tiger at the Masters where he withdrew from the tournament in the middle of the third round due to injury.
