RI’s John Bacon Records 3rd Place Finish at The Villages Championship
Kirkbrae member John Bacon finished in third place at The Villages Golf Championship down in Florida.
The Villages is the largest 55 and over community in the U.S. with more than 130,000 residents.
There are 250 golfers competing in the championship this year.
Bacon fired rounds of 80,74 and 77 for a total of 231 at The Villages Palmer, Legends Golf Course and Belle Glade respectively.
He tied with Ted Meier, but won in a scorecard playoff to take third.
