Jackson, Roberts, Adriana Eaton Lead RIers in Rd 1 of Challenge Cup Championship
Prout’s Mark Roberts and La Salle’s Max Jackson lead the Rhode Island boys with a pair of one-over 72s after the first round of the Challenge Cup Championship played on Monday at Potowomut.
They are both five shots behind New Hampshire’s Josiah Hakala, who is four-under for the tournament.
On the girls side, Moses Brown’s Adriana Eaton leads Rhode Islanders with a seven-over 79 in the first round.
The freshman is one shot behind Connecticut’s Laniah Moffett for first place.
She is two shots in front of sister Kylie and Barrington’s Lily Dessel.
The Challenge Cup Championship switches to Alpine on Tuesday.
