Harry Dessel Snags Top 10 Finish at Columbia Spring Invitational
Former Moses Brown star Harry Dessel recorded his best collegiate finish to date on Monday at the Columbia Spring Invitational.
Dessel finished in a tie for 8th with a two round score of three-over par.
In the one-day, 36-hole tournament, Dessel carded rounds of 73 and 70 to climb 12 spots in the final 18 holes and into 8th.
Meanwhile, his Lafayette squad finished in sixth with a team score of 38-over par.
Harvard won the tournament at 6-over.
After a first round 73, Dessel began his second round on the ninth hole.
He opened that hole with a par, and then birdied the tenth hole to get to one-under on the day.
After a few pars, Dessel made back-to-back bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes to turn at 1-over 35.
Making the turn to the front side, Dessel saved par on the first six-holes before birding the par-5 7th hole to get back to even par.
