WATCH LIVE: URI Golf at Cutter Creek Intercollegiate
The University of Rhode Island Golf team is back in action this weekend at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate.
The tournament is hosted by Elon and ECU and consists of teams such as Richmond, George Washington, Liberty, Jacksonville State and others.
“This is a terrific tournament for us, as there are five teams in the field rated higher than us on Golfstat and two just below us. When you have players like Brandon Gillis and Bryson Richards, you have to upgrade the schedule so their national rankings can put them in a position to be considered for individual spots in the NCAA Tournament if they play well in these bigger tournaments,” said head coach Gregg Burke.
