Anthony Loiselle Named Head Pro at Louisquisset Golf Club
Anthony Loiselle has been named Head Pro at Louisquisset Golf Club, he announced on Monday night.
For Loiselle, this is a return “home” in many ways, as Louisquisset gave him his first job as a Golf Shop Assistant back in 2020-2021.
“I grew up in the neighborhood just over the fence of the second hole. My grandmother, uncle, aunt and cousins still live in North Providence. It is where I am from, it’s my home. The opportunity to go back to a club and membership I already have incredible relationships with as well as the opportunity to be impactful in the community was too good too pass up,” Loiselle tells GolfNewsRI.
Loiselle succeeds his mentor Kieth Niles in the role.
“Keith means the world to me, transferring out of Coastal Carolina to Rhode Island College in August of 2019 to play for the golf team I met his son William. We have been the best of friends ever since, Keith worked me through all the golf shop duties, member relations, the whole operation. He has been there the rest of the way whenever I need questions and advice. He has been a father figure to me since then and the seasons I spent working for him were something I will never forget,” said Loiselle.
This is Loiselle’s first Head Pro job of his career.
He will begin his run once he returns from PGA Headquarters in Frisco, Texas at the end of the week.
Loiselle tells GolfNewsRI that his PGA Class A Professional timeline has him earning member status by the end of July.
Loiselle’s Career
Loiselle’s career started with internships at Rhode Island Country Club and Warwick Country Club in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
His first job came at Louisquisset in 2020 and he served there until 2021, before moving on to Newport National.
He served as a Golf Shop Assistant/Services in both places.
Loiselle took the Assistant Golf Pro job at Fall River in April of 2022, and most recently worked over the winter at John’s Island Club in Florida.
