BREAKING: Max Jackson Commits to Rutgers

La Salle phenom Max Jackson has committed to Rutgers, he announced on social media Wednesday night.
Jackson will join Rutgers in the fall of 2024.
“I’m extremely excited to announce my commitment to play Division I golf at Rutgers University. First off, Thanks to all my family and friends for the constant support. Huge thanks to Coach Shutte and Coach Rose for this opportunity, looking forward to getting to work. Roll Knights,” Jackson wrote on Instagram.

Jackson is currently a junior at La Salle and is looking to win his third straight high school state championship.
As for his decision to choose Rutgers over other schools, it came down to coaching.
“Coach Shutte is just a genuine human being. Awesome guy. He wasn’t just recruiting based on a number. He took an interest in Max as a person overall and that was a big part of the decision,” Jackson father, Gregg, tells GolfNewsRI.
La Salle’s 2023 season begins in just over a month.
