Uihlein Finishes 2nd at LIV Golf Mayakoba, Howell III Wins

Massachusetts native and former Northeast Amateur champion Peter Uihlein finished solo second at LIV Golf Mayakoba on Sunday afternoon down in Mexico.
Uihlein entered the final round in a tie for the lead, but a seven on the 12th hole set him back.
However, he did recover by birdieing four of the last five holes to climb back up the leaderboard and put some pressure on winner Charles Howell III.

This is Uihlein’s third second place finish on LIV.
Howell III won the tournament at 16-under for the week.
Howell takes home a total of $4.75 million from his individual win and his team’s (The Crushers) victory.
For perspective, in 609 starts on the PGA Tour and three victories, he won $2.75 million.
The next LIV event is in three weeks in Arizona.
