MA’s Uihlein Ready for LIV Golf Season 2
Massachusetts native and former Northeast Amateur champion Peter Uihlein is set to begin his second season on the LIV Golf Tour.
LIV Golf begins their season on Friday in Mexico and Uihlein will be part of the defending champion 4 Aces Squad.
“Obviously they won everything last year, and, i’ve said this before, they are like the Yankees. If they come calling, you answer the phone. I’m pretty fortunate to be in this position. Looking forward to a good year,” said Uihlein in the 4 Aces press conference earlier this week.
Uihlein joins the Aces after Talor Gooch left the team to play with Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats.
“Talor Gooch wanted to go play with Harold Varner and so I said “good luck.” In the offseason, there were obviously, a few options, we felt like Pete was the best option for our team. So we asked Pete if he wanted to join and he said “yea,” said captain Dustin Johnson.

Uihlein played for Brooks Kopek’s Smash GC during LIV’s inaugural season before making the jump to play with Patrick Reed, Johnson and Pat Perez.
“I think the team is as strong as it was last year, if not stronger. I feel like we got the better end of the deal with Pete. I think he is a really nice player, I like having him on the team,” said Johnson.
Uihlein adds, “I’m excited to be here, I’m happy to be a part of this squad. I mean, you are on a team with major winners, a 20-year guy, it is pretty special. I’m thrilled to be a part of this team and hopefully we will repeat this year,” said Uihlein in the 4 Aces press conference earlier this week.
LIV Golf begins season two on Friday afternoon at Mayakoba.
The shotgun start begins at 1:15 p.m. and can be seen on the CW App.
