Dickson Opens Season with a 67 in First Round of St. Simons Open
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson opened his 2023 season with a first round 67 at the St. Simons Open at King and Prince Golf Club in Georgia.
Dickson is five-under for the tournament and is tied for 11th with two rounds to play.
There is a cut to the top 28 and ties after Wednesday’s round.
Jimmy Beck, Jamie Wilson, Bryce Hendrix and Anthony Maccaglia lead the tournament at nine-under.
Dickson’s Round
Starting on the back nine, Dickson made a birdie on the 11th hole and then dropped two more birdies on the 13th and 14th holes to get to three under par.
After a string of three pars, the former Moses Brown star birdied the 18th hole to turn at four-under.
Birdies dried up on the front nine though, as Dickson made all pars, except for a lone bird on the fifth hole.
