MA’s Thorbjornsen Holds Share of Lead in Dubai
Massachusetts native and superstar amateur Michael Thorbjornsen holds a share of the lead through two rounds of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in Dubai, UAE.
Thorbjornsen is 10-under for the tournament and is tied with Richard Bland and Thomas Pieters.
The tournament will have a Monday finish due to absurd amount of rain they got over the last few days.
Thorbjornsen’s 2nd Round
Thorbjornsen posted a first round 70 and bounced back in a big way in the second round.
After opening with a bogey, Thorbjornsen bounced back with a birdie on the second hole and another on the sixth hole to turn at one-under.
He then went crazy on the back nine.
The Stanford star birdied the 10th hole, then made four straight birdies from the 12th through 15th holes.
He closed with an eagle on the 18th hole to shoot 64 and tie for the lead.
