BREAKING: Patrick Welch Playing in This Week’s PGA Tour Event at Torrey Pines
Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch has received a sponsors exemption to play in this week’s Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour at Torrey Pines.
This will be Welch’s second PGA Tour start of the season after finishing T28 at the Shriners Children’s Open back in October.
“I’m really excited to get out to California and play in this week’s tournament. Thank you to Farmers for giving me the opportunity to play, and I just can’t wait to tee it up with some of the world’s best players,” said Welch in a press release from the University of Oklahoma.
Welch will tee off at 1:50 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday and 12:40 p.m. eastern time on Thursday alongside Joseph Bramlett and Michael Gligic.
After his week in San Diego, Welch will rejoin the Sooners as they prep to open their spring slate at the 2023 Puerto Rico Open on Feb. 12.
