Two Doubles + a Triple Sink Chatfield’s 3rd Round
Two double-bogeys and a triple bogey sunk Davis Chatfield’s third round on Tuesday in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Great Exuma Classic in the Bahamas.
After starting the round at one-under for the event, Chatfield finished at six-over and is in second to last place after a third round 79.
Wednesday is the final round of the event and Chatfield will be one of the first groups off.
Starting on the tenth hole for the second time this week, Chatfield saved par on the first six holes.
Then disaster struck.
Chatfield made a triple-bogey seven on the 16th hole, and followed that up with a double bogey on the par-4 17th hole.
On the front side, Chatfield birdied the first hole, bogeyed the second and then went double, bogey on the fifth and sixth holes.
The former RI Amateur champ birdied the eighth hole to shoot 79.
