Chatfield Posts 1-Over 73 in Korn Ferry Tour Debut
In his Korn Ferry Tour debut, Davis Chatfield posted a one-over 73 in the opening round of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.
Chatfield sits in a tie for 54th with a cut coming after Monday’s round.
The cut is the top 65 players and ties.
Chatfield tees off at 7:48 a.m. off the first tee on Monday morning.
Chatfield’s Round
Starting on the tenth hole, Chatfield opened with two pars, followed by a birdie on the 12th hole to get to one-under.
Following two more pars, Chatfield dropped another birdie on the par-5 15th hole to move to two under.
At the time, that tied him for eighth overall.
Then came a rough patch.
Chatfield bogeyed the 17th hole, the doubled the 637 yard par-5 18th hole to turn at one-over par.
Making the turn to the front, Chatfield made another bogey to drop to two-over for the tournament.
The former RI Amateur champ would settle down after that.
A couple pars, followed by a birdie on the fourth hole got him back to one-over.
He parred in the rest of the way to shoot 73.
