Jackson, Eaton & Iaciofano Make Cut at Doral
Max Jackson, Kylie Eaton and Joey Iaciofano made the cut at the Doral Publix Jr. Championship on Thursday down in Miami, Florida.
Jackson and Eaton were in the 16-18 division for boys and girls respectively, while Iaciofano made the cut in the 14-15 age group.
The final round of the tournament is Friday.
Jackson’s 2nd Round
After a first round 76, Jackson carded an 81 in the second round and made the cut by a shot.
Things got off to a good start for the two-time defending high school state champion as he birdied the first hole of the day.

However, he followed up with bogeys on the third, eighth and ninth holes, before adding another bogey on the tenth hole .
Jackson added bogeys on the 12th and 13th holes, before making a birdie on the 15th hole.
He then went double, bogey, double to close the round.
Eaton’s 2nd Round
Following a first round 78, Eaton followed up with a second round 81.
The Moses Brown senior opened with three straight pars, before taking an eight on the fourth hole and a double-bogey five on the sixth hole.
She bogeyed the ninth hole to turn at 43.
Eaton played better on the back, making four straight pars, before dropping a birdie on the 14th hole.
The Ri Women’s Amateur Champ then doubled the 15th hole and then bogeyed the 17 to shoot 81.
Iaciofano’s Round
Iaciofano had the best second round of any Rhode Islander in the field and it wasn’t close.
After an opening round 84, Iaciofano carded a 74 on Thursday – a ten shot improvement.
He opened with a birdie on the first hole followed by four straight pars.
Iaciofano then bogeyed the sixth hole, birdied the seventh and doubled the eighth to turn at 37.
On the back side, he made all pars except for a seven on 16th hole.
He enters the final round in a tie for 38th.
