Masters Won’t Change Qualification Criteria, LIV Golfers can Play in 2023
LIV Golfers will be eligible to compete in the 2023 Masters, Augusta National Chairman Fred Ridley announced in a statement on Tuesday morning.
The Masters will not be changing their qualification criteria for the April showcase.
“As invitations are sent this week, we will invite those eligible under our current criteria to compete in the 2023 Masters Tournament. As we have said in the past, we look at every aspect of the Tournament each year, and any modifications or changes to invitation criteria for future Tournaments will be announced in April,” writes Ridley.
Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and all others are on the invitation list.
Ridley adds that changes to qualifications are typically made and announced in April.
